Alumna Jane Mai wins MOCCA Fest award

Illustration Alumna Jane Mai won a MoCCA Arts Festival Award of Excellence for her comic Sunday In The Park With Boys. This award recognizes the most outstanding work on view at the festival.
Jane and other recipients will have their work exhibited in the second floor MoCCA gallery at the Society of Illustrators from May 21 - July 6, 2013.

LANDMARK YEAR FOR COMD ILLUSTRATION

This was a landmark year for ComD with our students winning 41 awards in nationwide competitions! Seventeen pieces were selected for the Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Competition, with four students taking home named scholarships totaling nearly $12,000 from Society of Illustrators benefactors.
Another 23 pieces were among the winners of American Illustration 32. Eight pieces were so exceptional, they were recognized by the juries of both organizations!

Students Win Gold Pencil

Students Kayla Zegar, Seol Ye (Sierra) Lee, and Jee Sun Lee recently won a Gold Pencil in the One Show Young Ones competition for their poster series for Pencils of Promise.
