Prerequisite: After Effects COMD 411
In this course students will explore the power of graphic design in motion. Students will photograph, create graphics and edit/animate their own short films with sound design while exploring movement, image, montage, abstraction, and visual narrative structure. Class is spent working on projects as well as on screenings, group critiques, gallery and museum visits, discussions of the innovators of motion graphics and opportunities related to the field.  Assignments include creating an experimental graphic film, social commentary spot, concert screen animation and a class project producing an enviro. installation.
