Duncan Hamilton

Duncan Hamilton is a designer, publisher and editor from the UK.
Now based in NYC he is currently the senior art director at Urban Outfitters where he oversees the in house creative department. In his spare time he continues to work with regular collaborators on art, design and print projects under the title 'the Uses of Literacy'
He has participated in lectures and on discussion panels at the Tate Gallery Liverpool, Center of Contemporary Arts Glasgow and the Youth Salon in Zagreb, Croatia. He has also organised art projects and exhibitions for the Arts council of England, Frieze Art Fair, Cubitt Gallery in London, the Musee d'Art Moderne de Ville de Paris and the Liverpool Biennial.
He has an MA in design from the University of Manchester.
Duncan teaches An Independent Publishing Primer.
