Lee Epstein

Adjunct Professor

Lee Epstein started his 43 year advertising career at legendary Doyle Dane Bernbach, where, for 20 years, he had great fun creating a memorable stream of award winning ads and campaigns for major clients.

As DDB got big... bigger... biggest, Lee felt the fun part of creating ads was going... going... gone. So he got back to "small" and "fun" by putting his name on the door of his own shop in 1981. During his career, he's won over 100 creative awards, judged over 50 advertising events and has been either the author or subject of many industry magazine articles.

Since, 1975, Lee's been sharing his extensive creative experience and know-how with students at Pratt Institute, where, as an Adjunct Professor in the Communications Design Department, has been sucessfully teaching his approach to conceptual advertising and art direction with a calulated mix of arrogance and humility.
