Tim O'Brien

Visiting Professor

Tim has received awards and recognitions from the Society of Illustrators in New York and Los Angeles, Graphis, Print, Communication Arts Magazine, the Society of Publication Designers, American Illustration, and the Art Directors Club. Tim has over a dozen paintings in the National Gallery, Washington, DC., and is a winner of the 2009 Hamilton King Award from the Society of Illustrators.

At the Society, Tim serves as the Executive VP and the Museum Chairman.

His numerous speaking engagements include The Norman Rockwell Museum, The Society of Illustrators, Syracuse University, SVA, Pratt, RISD, CCA, and the University of the Arts.

Tim is a professor at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and lectures frequently across the country.

Tim teaches Illustration I, Illustration II and Illustration Senior Project.
