After completing the Pratt Graduate Painting program, Tom Graham attended SVA for Illustration and started freelancing. He contributed to The New York Times for ten years, as well as many other national and regional publications.
Active in publishing, He has written and illustrated many books for children. Mr. Bear's Chair (Dutton Children's Books), his first, was one of the top Children's Choices by the International Reading Council and Children's Book Council. Day Breaks, written by Bethea verDorn (Arcade), was selected by the Society of Illustrators for inclusion in Originals: The Best of Children's Book Illustration. His latest book is Five Little Firefighters, published by Henry Holt & Co.
Tom teaches Children's Book Illustration II, Illustration Senior Project F, Illustration: Children's Books I, Visual Communications I and Visual Communications II.
